ZIKZAK Architects presented a project for an office for the CEO of an IT company — a 35 sq. m space that reimagines the typology of an executive’s workplace. This is an ‘Office for One,’ where intimacy is combined with clarity of form and confidence in planning decisions. The materials used here emphasize sensitivity and attention to detail — precisely the qualities that shape the modern female approach to management.

Architectural logic

The space is conditionally divided into three scenarios: strategic meetings, individual work, and recovery. To maintain lightness, the designers abandoned solid partitions in favor of textured glass and mirrored surfaces: this cuts out visual noise and provides soft, even lighting.

Part of the ceiling was left with exposed communications, to which custom lamps with massive frames and metal grids are attached. This is a nod to industrial design, balancing the softness of the interior with a clear geometric dominant.

Textures

Multi-layered walls are used to ensure acoustic comfort and visual stability. Natural walnut finishes set a warm tone and structure the space. Accent 3D panels in the work area create a rhythmic play of light and shadow, changing throughout the day depending on the angle of the rays. This works as a dynamic tactile accent.

The combination of structural clarity and warm materiality shapes the character of the space. This balance of determination and sensitivity makes the interior an organic extension of the owner’s personality.

Negotiation room

The meeting area is organized as a hybrid transformative space. A T-shaped table with cobalt lighting and leather column legs structures the room and emphasizes its axial symmetry. Decorative shelves with designer objects add personality without distracting from business. Vitra chairs provide ergonomic support during long sessions, and an integrated media panel transforms the office into a presentation platform without compromising privacy. It is easy to focus on strategy or make important decisions here — the space is both focused and relaxed.

Resimercial zone

The interior works on the resimercial principle — an aesthetic hybrid of an office and a living room. The boundary between the work area and the lounge is blurred by a light monolith — an integrated column-shelf made of semi-transparent materials. The lounge exudes homely comfort. A soft group of armchairs with an accent on rich cobalt dissolves formality and hierarchy. Coffee tables with a glossy sheen reflect the sky of Paphos, adding visual plasticity and lightness to the interior.

Tactility

A graphite carpet with a geometric pattern acts as an acoustic damper and creates a feeling of soft silence and completeness. Attention to touch is also maintained in utilitarian areas. An array of natural stone in the bathroom makes this space a natural extension of the interior, where every surface is high-quality and complements the architectural integrity.

In the evening, when linear lighting forms a soft perimeter, the office becomes a place for reflection. Here, overlooking the Mediterranean horizon, true strength manifests itself in harmony: the ability to be effective, sensitive, professional and feminine.
