This interior design proposal, by EFTEKTON Architects & Engineers, concerns a private residence located in Aperi, Karpathos, with a total area of 400 sq.m. The residence is developed over two levels. The ground floor accommodates the main living areas along with three bedrooms, while the basement hosts the cinema room, the playroom, and auxiliary spaces.

The villa was designed with the aim of meeting the family’s needs through a balanced approach to functionality and aesthetics. The interior spaces are shaped through soft, clean lines and an open-plan layout that encourages interaction and communication, creating a unified and flexible environment for everyday living.

Natural wood, raw textures, earthy tones, and subtle lighting compose an atmosphere of warmth and calm, a quality considered essential in any residence, especially when located in an island environment. The exposed wooden ceiling is integrated as a structural and architectural element of the place, reinterpreted through a contemporary approach within the living areas.

In the bedrooms and auxiliary spaces, quieter and more restrained design gestures were adopted, with an emphasis on built-in furniture, simple surfaces, and carefully designed lighting gradations. The aim of this proposal is to create ideal living conditions and to offer the family unique moments of comfort, functionality, and quality of life.
