Το Ovidium, μια θερινή μονοκατοικία σχεδιασμένη από το αρχιτεκτονικό γραφείο The Hive Architects, τοποθετείται πάνω σε μία χερσόνησο του Αργοσαρωνικού και αναδεικνύεται ως ένα σύγχρονο κτίριο τοποσημικού χαρακτήρα. Πρόκειται για μια αρχιτεκτονική σύνθεση όπου η σχέση μεταξύ του στεγασμένου χώρου και των ρυθμικών υποστυλωμάτων αποδίδει τη λιτότητα και τη σχεδιαστική συνέπεια μέσα από μια ισορροπημένη γεωμετρία. Η χωρική του διάταξη υπογραμμίζει την κλίμακα και αναδύει ένα αίσθημα γαλήνης και επιβλητικότητας.

Τα υλικά — λευκός σοβάς, μεταλλικές κολόνες, rammed earth και travertino — αποτελούν συνειδητή επιλογή, όπου κάθε υφή και απόχρωση συνυπάρχουν αρμονικά. Το rammed earth, με το ιδιαίτερο χωρικό του αποτύπωμα, επιτυγχάνει τη βέλτιστη ενσωμάτωση στο τοπίο, διατηρώντας παράλληλα μια φυσική συνέχεια με το περιβάλλον. Το travertino, φυσικό και ανθεκτικό υλικό με ιστορικές αναφορές στην κλασική αρχιτεκτονική, προσδίδει αέρα στιβαρότητας και διαχρονικότητας.

Η αρχιτεκτονική ομάδα των The Hive Architects σχεδιάζουν τον περιβάλλοντα χώρο με σεβασμό στη γεωμετρία και στις μορφολογικές ιδιαιτερότητες του οικοπέδου. Χαμηλοί μεσογειακοί θάμνοι και διακριτικές φυτεύσεις πλαισιώνουν τη σύνθεση, αναδεικνύοντας τη χωροταξία χωρίς να επισκιάζουν τη δυναμική της αρχιτεκτονικής.

It is an architectural composition where the relationship between the covered space and the rhythmic columns conveys simplicity and design coherence through a balanced geometry. Its spatial arrangement emphasizes scale and evokes a sense of tranquility and monumentality.

The materials — white plaster, metal columns, rammed earth, and travertine — are a conscious choice, where each texture and shade coexist harmoniously. The rammed earth, with its distinctive spatial imprint, achieves optimal integration into the landscape while maintaining a natural continuity with the environment. Travertine, a natural and durable material with historical references to classical architecture, imparts a sense of solidity and timelessness.
